After graduating from the Recording Institute of Detroit, I worked as a recording engineer to hone my skills at producing high quality audio. I then attended Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts, and after graduating, started my career in radio in 1991.
I credit my time on the radio and my skills as a certified audio engineer for opening up lots of opportunities for voice work. Besides the local in-market commercials, I also secured several national spots. Early on, I was also hired to narrate and produce the audio for several non-broadcast training videos.
over the years, I was given many opportunities to voice cartoon characters, automation systems, audiobooks, and several other projects.
These days, I am retired from the radio business, stepping aside after 30 years, and now focus on audiobooks, video narrations, and any other project that sounds like fun.
Besides having the wonderful experience of being able to talk for a living for most of my life, I have also done a few other interesting things with my time on this planet.
I was a Forged in Fire champion in season 6, ran for office in the Michigan congress, fell in love with old Jeeps, became a woodworker, trumpet player, and most important of all, married my wonderful wife and fathered 6 children… 3 boys and 3 girls- my own personal Brady Bunch.
